MyFSW is the central hub for accessing your FSW account information.
This guide reviews how to reset your MyFSW password. By completing the steps, you will update your login across most FSW systems, including MyFSW, Wi-Fi, Office 365, and Canvas.
Password Reset
1. Navigate to MyFSW
To start, go to www.fsw.edu and click on "MyFSW".

2. Click on New User Setup/Forgot Password
Next, click on the "New User Setup/Forgot Password" link.

3. Complete the Verify Identity Form
You will need to complete the password reset form to confirm your identity and create a new password. All fields are required, except for one: you may provide either your FSW ID number OR the last four digits of your social security number. You do not need to enter both.

4. Create a New Password
Enter your new password and click "Set Password".
Your password must meet the following requirements:
1. 14 to 20 characters in length. It must contain at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, one number and one special character (e.g. @#$%^&*()_+|~-=\`{}[]:";'<>/).
2. Does not contain personal information. For example, first name, last name, username, or date of birth.
3. Previously used passwords will be rejected.
Other aspects of a strong password include:
- A good password is of strong construction and is a password that is not shared by anyone.
- A good password is not posted, emailed, or written down.
- A good password does not contain information about family, friends, or pets.
- A mnemonic can make a good password easier to remember. You can base your password on a song, phrase or book. Additionally, you can substitute special characters for letters and numbers. For example "Never gonna give you up" becomes n3^3rG0nn@g!^3y0Uup.

Error – "The new password contains prohibited words. Please use a stronger password."
If you receive this error, please try to create a stronger password that complies with the guidelines in Step 4.
