Full-time active employees and students of FSW can download the Office 365 suite for free. This includes Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more! This guide will show you how to download and install Office 365 on your computer.
Note – Office 365 licenses are not available for former employees or students. If you have a different version of Office on your computer, you must uninstall it before installing this version.
Install and Activate Office 365
1) Log in to the MyFSW Portal by clicking "MyFSW" on the FSW home page.

2) Once logged in, navigate to the "Student Quick Links" or "Employee Quick Links" card and select the "Microsoft 365" link.
Note – If the Student or Employee Quick Links card is not visible, please visit the MyFSW Overview guide to add the card to your dashboard.
For Students, use the "Student Quick Links" card.

For Employees, use the "Employee Quick Links" card.

3) Next, press "Continue" for the prompt "Do you trust fsw.edu?"

4) Then press "No" to the prompt "Stay signed in?"

5) On the left-hand side of the Copilot webpage, click "Apps."

6) Next, click on the "Install apps" button and select "Microsoft 365 apps" from the drop-down menu.

Note – If you get an error message, please submit the following form, Report an Office 365 Issue, and include the following information:
- First name and last name
- FSW ID number
- A screenshot of the error message
You will receive a follow-up email to your FSW email from an IT technician.
7) Next, follow the Windows PC or Mac instructions to install Office.
7a) For "Windows PC installation instructions," visit the Microsoft Support link: Download, install, or reinstall Microsoft 365 or Office 2024 on a PC and follow the instructions under the header "Install the apps."

7b) For "Mac installation instructions," visit the Microsoft Support link: Download, install, or reinstall Microsoft 365 or Office 2024 on a Mac and follow the instructions under the header "Install Microsoft 365 or Office."

8) To activate Office after installation, open an Office application like Word, PowerPoint, or Excel, and click "Sign in or create account."

9) Type in your FSW email, for students this will be "username@bucs.fsw.edu," and for staff/faculty please use "username@fsw.edu." Then press "Next."

10) At the Portal login screen, enter your "username" and "password" and press "Sign In."

11) If prompted with the "Automatically sign in to all desktop apps and websites on this device" pop-up window, please uncheck "Allow my organization to manage my device" and click "No, this app only" when using a personal computer.

12) Once logged in, you can use your new Office 365 programs!
