Removing the Proctorio Extension from Google Chrome
To remove the Proctorio extension from Google Chrome, follow the steps below:
First, open Google Chrome and click the "puzzle piece icon" in the upper-right-hand corner.

Then, click "Manage extensions".

Locate the "Secure Exam Proctor" extension and select "Remove".

On the "Remove 'Secure Exam Proctor'?" pop-up window, select the "Remove" button, which will remove the extension.

Removing Respondus LockDown Browser from Your Canvas Quiz/Course
To successfully transition to Honorlock, you must remove Respondus LockDown Browser from your Canvas quizzes.
First, please ensure that LockDown Browser is enabled in your Canvas course by following our "Adding LockDown Browser to The Course Navigation" guide.
Next, click on "LockDown Browser" in the "Course Navigation Menu".

On the LockDown Browser Dashboard, quizzes with Respondus LockDown Browser enabled will have the "Requires Respondus LockDown Browser" phrase in the quiz title and display "Required" in the "LockDown Broswer" column.

Locate the quiz that you would like to remove Respondus LockDown Browser from and click the "down arrow" to the left of the quiz title.

Click "Settings" from the drop-down menu.

Select the "Don't require Respondus LockDown Browser for this exam" option.

Then click the "Save + Close" button.

The "Requires Respondus LockDown Browser" phrase will be removed from the quiz title and display "Not Required" in the "LockDown Broswer" column.

Once you have removed Respondus LockDown Browser from all of the quizzes within a specific Canvas course, you can remove Respondus LockDown Browser from the Canvas course itself by first clicking on the "Settings" link in the Course Navigation Menu.

Click on the "Navigation" tab at the top.

Then, (1) click the three vertical dots to the right of the "LockDown Browser" item, and then (2) select "Disable".

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Save".

Installing Google Chrome
Honorlock must be accessed through the Google Chrome browser.
If you do not already have Chrome installed, please download and install Google Chrome.
For additional system requirements, refer to Honorlock's "Minimum System Requirements" guide.

Installing the Honorlock Extension
Honorlock requires a Chrome extension to be installed. To install the extension, please review the "Install the Honorlock Extension" guide.
This installation only needs to be completed once per computer. If you switch devices, you will need to install the extension again.

Enabling Honorlock In Your Course
Log in to Canvas and navigate to your course.
Next, click the "Settings" link on the Course Navigation Menu.

Select the "Navigation" tab.

Scroll to the bottom of the list and find "Honorlock".

1) Click the "three vertical dots" icon
2) Choose "+ Enable"

At the bottom of the page, press the "Save" button.

Quiz Setup with Honorlock
Select "Honorlock" from the Course Navigation Menu in Canvas.

Please note that you may be prompted to authorize Honorlock to access your account.
If you are prompted, please select the "Authorize" button.

A list of all the quizzes in the course will be displayed.
Find the quiz that you would like to set up with Honorlock, and select the "Enable" button.

Quiz Restrictions
When configuring your exam, you can apply the following restrictions to ensure academic integrity:
- Browser Guard: Enabling this feature prevents students from using the Chrome browser to access other websites during the exam.
- Once Browser Guard is enabled, you can enable Allowed Site URLs to enable specific websites that students are permitted to visit during the exam.
- Review the "Browser Guard and Allowed Site URLs" guide to learn more about how to configure the Browser Guard and Allowed Site URLs features.
- Enhanced Desktop Security (Honorlock Desktop Application): Enabling this feature prevents students from opening any other applications on their computer during the exam.
- Once Enhanced Desktop Security is enabled, you can enable specific applications that students are permitted to use during the exam.

Please note: If both Browser Guard and the Enhanced Desktop Security are disabled, students will be able to access any website or application during their exam.
