What are the FSW General Education Rubrics?
The FSW General Education Rubrics were developed for use in assessment practices and align with FSW's eight General Education Competencies. The rubrics are a resource available to all FSW faculty on FSW's assessment webpage and are also available as pre-loaded Canvas Outcomes for faculty to integrate into Canvas assignments.

Finding and Importing the FSW General Education Rubrics as Outcomes to your Canvas Course
1- On your Canvas course, click on the "Outcome" link located on the Course Navigation Menu.
(1) Click on the "Outcomes" link.
(2) Click on the "Find" button.
2- A "Add Outcomes to Course" window will pop up.
(1) Click on the "Account Standards" drop-down.
(2) Click on the blank drop-down.
3- Next, select the current "CREATIVE Gen Ed Competencies" drop-down.
4- Follow the steps below. To import the whole rubric, repeat for each dimension.
(1) Choose your Competency Rubric.
(2) Select the drop down next to each dimension to view more information about the dimension.
(3) Click the "Add" button next to each dimension you would like to add.
5- Lastly, click the "Done" button at the bottom of the page.

Adding the FSW General Education Rubric Outcomes to a particular assignment in your course
1- On your Canvas course, click on the "Assignments" link located on the Course Navigation Menu.
2- Select the assignment where you will add a General Education Rubric.
3- Next, click on the "+Rubric" button to add a rubric to the assignment.
4- On the Find Rubric window, click on the "Find Outcome" link.
5- A Find Outcomes window will pop up.
(1) Select the rubric outcome(s) you previously imported to your course in the steps above
(2) Click on the "Import" button located on the bottom right corner to import it into this specific assignment.
You can choose to use only one outcome dimension from a rubric, or by repeating these steps as necessary, you can include the whole rubric or import from multiple rubrics.
6- Click on the green "Create Rubric" button.
