How To: Add/Drop Classes


1. Log into the FSW Portal


You can go to the Portal login screen, or you can access the Portal login by clicking on "Portal" on the FSW home page.

2.  Click on Student Academics Tab


Once logged in, navigate to the Student Academics Tab.

3.  Click on Student Profile


Click on the Student Profile icon located in the top left-hand corner of the page.

4. Select Registration and Planning 


Next, select the "Registration and Planning" menu on the left.

5. Click Register for Classes


On the next screen, click the "Register for Classes" link.

6.Select the Term


Next, select the "Term" from the drop-down menu and click "Continue" after that.

Note:  If holds are preventing you from registering, the messages will appear in the top right. You will need to take care of the holds before you can register for classes. 

 


7. Search for classes


On the "find classes" tab enter the name of the subject for the class or classes you want to look up. You can also select a subject from the list.

After entering or selecting one subject from the list, click the "search" button.

If you know the CRN number for the class or classes, you can add them directly from the "Enter CRNs" tab.

Click "Add to Summary" to add the course to the registration summary.

Pending courses will appear greyed out until you have submitted the classes for registration.

To search for a course:

8. Add Classes 


Click on the "Add" button to add classes to your summary.

Pending courses will appear greyed out until you have submitted the classes for registration.

Next, click the "submit" button to register for the class or classes you have added to your summary.

The status will change from Pending to Registered.

9. Drop a Class


 To Drop a class, select 1) "Web Drop" from the drop-down list under the Action menu and then click  2) "submit" button.

The status will change from Registered to Deleted.
