As an employee or student of FSW, you have free access to the Office 365 package for your device. This includes such essential programs as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and more! In this guide, we'll be showing you step-by-step how to download and install Office 365 programs on your computer.
Note: If you have another version of Office installed on your computer, you will not be able to install this version without uninstalling the other version first.
1. Log into FSW Portal
You will first want to access your FSW Portal. You can go to the Portal login screen, or you can access the Portal login by clicking on "Portal" on the FSW home page.

2. Click on Office 365 App
In the Home tab of your Portal, look for a section on the right side of the screen titled "Apps for Students" if you are a student; if you are an employee, it will instead be called "Apps for Employees." In either case, you'll want to click on the icon for Office 365 among the apps in that area. This will open up a new tab in your browser.

3. Select "Install Office"
Once you have clicked on the Office 365 app, look at the right-hand side of the webpage that follows and click on the drop-down menu titled "Install Office." You'll want to select the first option, "Office 365 apps."
If you get an "error" message at this point, please submit the following form "Report an Office 365 Issue" including the following information:
You will receive a follow-up email after the problem has been fixed.

Note: for Mac download instructions see Microsoft Support link: Download and install or reinstall Office 365 or Office 2016 on a PC or Mac
4. Save File
You will be prompted to save a file to begin downloading the Office 365 package; you will want to go ahead and click "Save File" so that you can download this file, as it is the installer for your Office 365 package.

Please note that when you complete this step, the webpage will also give you some instructions on how to proceed as well. We have provided a screenshot here for reference.

5. Run File
Once the installer has downloaded, double click the file to run it. It may ask you if you wish to allow it to make changes to your computer; you will want to click "Yes."
6. Log In with FSW Credentials
Once you have installed Office 365, if you start up Office, you will be prompted to log in with the account you use for Office 365. In this case, you want to use your FSW email and your Portal password. You will want to use username@fsw.edu if you are an employee, and username@bucs.fsw.edu if you are a student. Once you have logged in, you will be able to use your new Office 365 programs!
