How To: Download Microsoft Office 365

As an employee or student of FSW, you have free access to the Office 365 package for your device. This includes such essential programs as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and more! In this guide, we'll be showing you step-by-step how to download and install Office 365 programs on your computer.

Note: If you have another version of Office installed on your computer, you will not be able to install this version without uninstalling the other version first.

1. Log into FSW Portal

You will first want to access your FSW Portal. You can go to the Portal login screen, or you can access the Portal login by clicking on "Portal" on the FSW home page.

2. Click on Office 365 App

In the Home tab of your Portal, look for a section on the right side of the screen titled "Apps for Students" if you are a student; if you are an employee, it will instead be called "Apps for Employees." In either case, you'll want to click on the icon for Office 365 among the apps in that area. This will open up a new tab in your browser.

Once you have installed Office 365, if you start up Office, you will be prompted to log in with the account you use for Office 365. In this case, you want to use your FSW email and your Portal password. You will want to use username@fsw.edu if you are an employee, and username@bucs.fsw.edu if you are a student.
