Sign Up for a Flip account
Go to the Flip website and click the Sign Up button in the top right corner.
Select the Sign up with Microsoft option on the next screen.
When the Microsoft Sign in page appears:
1) Enter your username@fsw.edu email address.
2) Click on the blue Next button.
When you are directed to the FSW Portal login page:
1) Enter your FSW Username.
2) Enter your FSW Portal password.
3) Select the Sign In button.
After authenticating your FSW Microsoft account, you will be asked to enter the following information:
1) Birthday.
2) Country or region.
3) Click the Done button.

Find your consumer key and shared secret
Find your consumer key and shared secret by following the steps below:
1) Click your Profile icon bubble located in the top right corner
2) Then click the Settings link.
Next, select the Integrations tab.
Under the Canvas section, click the Add new integration button.
1) In the Create a Canvas Integration window, enter a name for the new integration.
2) Then, click the Create button.
A new integration row is created under the canvas section.
Please be aware that the steps outlined below are optional.
If you are comfortable doing so, you may proceed to the "Add the Flip app to your Canvas course" steps to incorporate Flip into your Canvas course.
OPTIONAL STEPS
You can submit a Request Canvas Support Form with the consumer key and shared secret if you need assistance adding the Flip app to your Canvas course.
Please, make sure to provide the information requested below:
1 ) Provide the Course CRN or Canvas URL.
2) Provide the Consumer Key and Shared Secret in the ticket description box.
Submit the ticket. You will receive an email confirmation once the integration has been completed.
Please wait for an email confirming that Flip integration has been completed in your course and proceed with the Enabling Flip in the Course steps.

Add the Flip app to your Canvas course
If you submitted a Canvas Support ticket for the integration to be done for you, please wait for an email confirming that Flip integration has been completed in your course and proceed with the Enabling Flip in the Course steps.
Important: You only need to add the Flip app to a Canvas course once. However, if you want to add Flip to a different Canvas course, you must go through the following steps again.
Sign in to Canvas and select the course you want to integrate.
In the course navigation menu, click the Settings link.
Then at the top, select the Apps tab.
1) In the search box, enter "Flip."
2) Then, click on the Flip app.
Click on the + Add App green button.
In the Add App window that opens on the screen,
1) Enter a name for the installation “Flip.”
2) Add the Consumer Key by copying and pasting the consumer key and shared secret into Canvas from your Flip settings integration.
3) Add the Shared Secret by copying and pasting the consumer key and shared secret into Canvas from your Flip settings integration.
4) Click on the Add App green button.

Enabling Flip in the Course
In the course navigation menu, click the Settings link.
Next, select the Navigation tab.
Scroll to the bottom of the list and find Flip.
1) Click the three vertical dots icon (Kabob).
2) Choose + Enable.
3) Click on the Save button.

Creating a Flip Assignment in Canvas
Please note: you must create a new assignment for the Flip integration work. The integration will not work if you edit an existing assignment.
In the course navigation menu, click the Assignments link.
Next, click on the + Assignment button.
Give your assignment a title and description.
Next, scroll to Submission Type and select External tool from the drop-down list.
Under “Enter or find an External Tool URL,” click Find.
1) Scroll down to find the Flip installation. Nest, select the Flip LTI.
2) Click the Select button.
To have Flip open in a new tab, check the box next to Load This Tool In A New Tab.
Enter the rest of the assignment details and options. Click the Save and Publish button before exiting the assignment.
