Emergency Remote Ready Microcredential

The "Emergency Remote Ready" training will prepare faculty for a seamless shift to remote instruction in unforeseen circumstances. With a commitment of just a few hours, faculty can choose between two learning paths: the “Fast Track” for experienced Canvas and Zoom users or the more comprehensive “Scenic Path” for those who want or need more instruction. The training prioritizes effective faculty-student communication while also encompassing essential Canvas functionalities, Zoom meeting management, and basic assessment options - all aimed at sustaining student engagement and learning continuity.

Upon completion, faculty will receive the “Emergency Remote Ready” digital badge, signifying their preparedness for delivering flexible instruction under any circumstance. They will also have a ready-to-use set of resources for a seamless transition to remote teaching when the unexpected occurs.

Modality: Asynchronous, self-paced

Time Commitment: Average 1-3 hours (may vary based on your level of comfort and experience with technology, Canvas, and Zoom).
