Crestron System
Some Flex-ible classroom spaces may have a Crestron system in place. If you see a Crestron Controller, then the following will apply.

- Power on the Computer

- Power on Doc Cam if intend on using

- The Crestron Unit is motion-activated; tap or wave your hand in front of it to wake it up.

After a minute or two of the Crestron waking up, the projectors will power on.
- Power Button for Crestron Controller
- Activating this input will display your podium computer on the projectors.
- Activating this input will display the Doc Cam, which takes a minute to appear on the projector.
- Control the volume using the - / + or volume slider options.

If you do not have a Crestron Control unit in your classroom, the technology may already be powered on when you first enter the classroom. If not, we wanted to provide you with a best practices sequence of powering on the technology.

Launch Your Lecture Materials
With the technology-powered on, it's time to prepare your digital lecture materials. This can be various programs or applications you wish to use and leverage. In this article, we demo using several frequently used applications.
Common Digital Lecture Tools
Zoom: From the podium computer, locate and launch the Computer Application Zoom.

You will need to log in to your Zoom account to access and start your scheduled Zoom meetings.

Canvas: From the podium computer, locate and launch Chrome. Click on the Canvas link across the top of the FSW Homepage.

Changing Projector Display
When it comes time to move your digital lecture materials to a different projector in the classroom, you can quickly click and drag from one monitor to the next. You can display the material in each classroom with multiple projectors by moving the digital lecture items from computer monitor to computer monitor to swap the active projector.

Using the Doc Cam
We've provided the following information to assist you in using the Doc Cam.
- Ensure it's Powered On
- Select the Input Selector
- After a moment or two, you should see the Doc Cam image projected on the projector in the front of the classroom.

Using the Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) Camera
- Locate the Remote Control for the PTZ Camera and press the red button on the top to power the camera.

- Once powered on, the camera should come to life and orient itself to a home position.

- Use the circular control pad to move the camera freely
- You can use the programmed camera positions by tapping the 1, or 2 buttons on the remote
The PTZ Camera is the default Zoom Camera for each classroom.

Common Roadblocks
- No input message on podium monitor
- The computer might be in sleep mode. Try moving the mouse around to wake the computer up.
- Projector not showing Computer Screen.
- The projector might be turned off; check to see if lights on the projector lit up.
