How To: Use the Employee Web-time Entry Form

Log In and Access Your Timesheet


  • Open your web browser (EX: Chrome, Edge, Firefox.)
  • Navigate to my.fsw.edu and log in using your login credentials.
  • Find the Human Resources card and then click on the "View Employee Dashboard" link.

Locate and click on Enter Time under My Activities.

Click on Start Timesheet.

Timesheet Overview


  1. Displays the Pay Period you are working on
  2. (i) Icon informs you of who will be approving your timesheets,
  3. Speech Bubble icon lets you review any comments or status changes made to your Timesheet.
  4. The date listed here is a reminder of the submission due date for this pay period.

Entering Time


  1. Click on the day you want to record your hours worked.
  2. Click in the Start Time box and provide the time you started.
  3. Click in the End Time box and set the time you took lunch or left for the day.
    • If you take lunch, you will need to add the second part of your shift.
  4. Click Add More Time button.
  5. Click in the Start Time box and provide the time you started.
  6. Click in the End Time box and set the time you left.

  1. You can click on Cancel to clear out this day and start over.
  2. Click Save to retain the hours for the day selected.
  3. If you click Preview before clicking on save, you will be prompted to Save. 

You should see the message Timesheet data successfully saved appear in the top right.

Reset Entire Timesheet


If you ever want to just start over with a new timesheet, use the Restart Time link. This option will delete all entered hours every day in the pay period. Allowing you to start over with an empty timesheet.

Copy a Shift to Other Days


You can also copy one of your entered shifts to the rest of the pay period. If you work the same hours for most of your week, we suggest using the Copy option.

Click the copy button.

In the popup that will appear, you have a few options. You can copy these hours to each workday of the pay period, or select specific days to copy these hours.

(1) To copy these hours to specific days

  • Click on each day you wish to copy these hours too.
  • Click on Save.

(2) To copy these hours to the entire work-week

  • Click on the option, "Copy to the end of pay period."
  • It automatically selects all the workdays in the pay period.
  • Click on Save.

Edit Time for a Shift


If you need to edit the time entered for a shift, take the following steps.

  1. Click on the day to edit.
  2. Click the pencil icon.
    • Make adjustments to the time.
  3. Click Save to retain the changes.
If you can not edit the date, your Timesheet may be locked, and you will not be able to edit it.

Submit Your Timesheet


Once your Timesheet is completed and accurately reflects the hours you worked, it's time to submit.

  1. Click on Preview (If there are any unsaved changes, you will be prompted to Save before being able to preview.)
  2. Review your time and hours
  3. Add any comments you would like
  4. Click on Submit to send it to your supervisor

You will see the notification in the top right upon successfully submitting

Recall Your Timesheet


At this stage, you can see the Pending Tag / Date & Timestamp of when you Submitted your Timesheet. You can recall the Timesheet back from your supervisor by clicking the button labeled, "Recall Timesheet."

If you see the Timesheet successfully recalled notification, then you can make changes and re-submit. Each time you recall your Timesheet, a comment is added to the logs.
If you need to recall your Timesheet, but your supervisor has opened it, you will need to reach out to them and ask them to send it back to you.
