My account states it can only be used for 40 minutes; what do I do?

The 40-minute message indicates that you are signed into a Basic (free) Zoom account. Users with a Basic account will see that they can only host meetings up to 40 minutes in length. However, Zoom users with a Basic account can participate in meetings hosted by a Pro user for up to 24 hours in length.

My Zoom account will not link with Canvas? What do I do?

Only a Canvas user who has a Zoom account with the same email address as their Canvas email address is authorized to use Zoom within Canvas. If Zoom does not have a user with this email address, the user sees an error message stating, "The user xxx@xxx is not a Zoom user." Visit How do I change my default email address in my user account as an instructor? To learn how to change your default email in Canvas to match the Zoom email address.
