How To: Enable Text to Speech in Microsoft Outlook

Microsoft Office365 (classic) has the ability to enable read aloud email messages within the Outlook application by default. To access the "immersive reader" text to speech feature in Outlook follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Microsoft Outlook Desktop Application or Access through the Web
  2. Select the "More Options" icon
  3. Select "Show in immersive reader".
