Google Authenticator Setup Guide

You will need to set up Google Authenticator to activate your account. 

Keep this app installed on your device. The authenticator app will provide a code that is required each time you log in to FSW applications, such as your Portal, Canvas, and student email. 

 

 

1. Navigate to your App store and install the Google Authenticator (Rainbow Asterisk Icon)

2. Open the app and select "Get Started"

    2.a. Choose "Continue without an account"

    2.b. Select "Add a code"

    2.c. Select "Scan a QR Code"

3. Navigate to the FSW Portal and log in.

4. After you log in you should be prompted with a QR Code to scan. (If you do not see the QR code, please contact the Help Desk: helpdesk@fsw.edu and provide a good phone number to call you back).

    4.a. Please note: If the error message "Invalid Authenticator Code" appears during this process, please restart the scanning process: Refresh the webpage and restart the process from the above step (step 4).

5. Use the Google Authenticator to scan the QR Code.

6. Take the 6-digit Code the app generates and place it into the "Code from Authenticator App" text box within the webpage.

7. For Device Name: You may type anything you would like or ignore it. (Unless there is a red asterisk. If there is one, you must enter something)

8. Press "Submit".
