Request a Kahoot! Premium Account
Florida SouthWestern State College has added Kahoot! to its growing list of tools for faculty to leverage. You will need to submit a Request Kahoot Premium Account to gain access to this tool.
Once approved, you will receive an email, and then you can begin to leverage the premium features.

Sign in to Kahoot!
Once your account has been created, you will receive a confirmation email from Kahoot!
Click on the "Join" button from the email.
Next, click on the "Log in" button in the top right corner.

When the "Log in" screen appears, click on the "Continue with Microsoft" button.

When the Microsoft "Sign in" page appears:
1) Enter your username@fsw.edu email address.
2) Click on the blue "Next" button.

When you are directed to the MyFSW login page:
1) Enter your MyFSW Username.
2) Enter your MyFSW password.
3) Select the "Sign In" button.

Creating Quizzes with Kahoot!
You can build your own Kahoot! quiz from scratch, choose a template or select one from the Discover tab.
To build your own Kahoot! quiz click on the "Create" button located in the top right corner.

Next, click on the create new Kahoot! button to start creating your own Kahoot quiz or choose a template to preload questions and slides.

How to embed a Kahoot! into a Canvas assignment/page
To embed a Kahoot! into a Canvas assignment or page, please follow the steps below:
Navigate to your Kahoot! within your Kahoot! account, and then click on the three vertical dots under the title of your Kahoot!.

Then, click on the "</> Embed" option.

Click the "Copy" button under the embed code to copy the embed code.

Then, navigate to the "Assignments" tab in your Canvas course, and click the "+ Assignment" button to create a new assignment.

Please note: You can also embed a Kahoot! into any Canvas item that has a Rich Content Editor (RCE), such as a discussion, pages, etc. You can also embed it within an existing assignment/page by going to that assignment/page and clicking the "Edit" button in the upper right-hand corner.
In the toolbar of the Rich Content Editor, click on the "Embed" icon.

Lastly, (1) paste the embed code into the "Embed Code" field, and then (2) click the "Submit" button.

Finish filling out the assignment details (such as the Points, Submission Type, and Due Date), if applicable, and then click on the "Save" button in the bottom right-hand corner.
The embedded Kahoot! will now display within that assignment/page.

Please note that you will need to manually enter the Kahoot! Scores into Grades in Canvas, as this will not be done automatically.

How to add a link to a Kahoot! in Canvas
To add a link to a Kahoot! in Canvas, please follow the steps below:
Please note: If you share a Kahoot! via the share link, the students/users will need to create a Kahoot! account in order to interact with your Kahoot!.
First, navigate to your Kahoot! within your Kahoot! account, (1) click on the three vertical dots under the title of your kahoot, and then (2) click on the "Share kahoot" option.

Then, click the "Copy" button next to the link in the "Share link" field.

Next, navigate to your Canvas course, and create a new assignment (or click on the name of an existing assignment and click the "Edit" button in the upper right-hand corner).
Please note: You can also add the link to a Kahoot! into any Canvas item that has a Rich Content Editor (RCE), such as a discussion, pages, etc.
In the Rich Content Editor of the assignment settings:
1) Select the drop-down next to the link icon.
2) Click on the "External Links" option.

When the "Insert Link" window appears:
1) Give the link a title under "Text".
2) Paste the link to the Kahoot! under "Link".
3) Select the green "Done" button.

Finish filling out the assignment details (such as the Points, Submission Type, and Due Date), if applicable, and then click on the "Save" button in the bottom right-hand corner.
Please note that you will need to manually enter the Kahoot! Scores into Grades in Canvas, as this will not be done automatically.
